Mission Engineering passive Cab 12" Custom Coaxial DriverI don't even know what half the products in the first image are, and nobody named them yet in this thread.
Cliff notes on the Matrix situation?
why so its nearly identical to the LXII??it gets a bad rap on forums and in some videos
Because Steven Fryette designed both.why so its nearly identical to the LXII??
You can replace "Matrix" in the paragraph above with "Atomic" or "Xitone" and it's the same story. What is up with companies in the "FRFR" space?Someone probably has more details but they’ve kinda been ghosting people with issues and haven’t had any stock for quite a while, enough people thought they were done for until one of the Matrix guys popped up at the Fractal forum explaining supply chain issues….not sure anything has been sorted as of yet, that was like a year ago.
Yes so why the Bad Rep? Steve isn't no slouch when it comes to amp designBecause Steven Fryette designed both.
Well Isnt the supply chain issue done with now ? Covid long behind us nowSmaller companies trying to compete, and getting nearly gutted during the plandemic due to supply chain issues.
That doesn't mean they don't have cashflow issues still lingering and trying to compete for parts.Well Isnt the supply chain issue done with now ? Covid long behind us now
No idea why the Synergy one has a bad rep. I’ve never played one, but I trust @Desertdweller’s opinion, since he can get good tone out of even a Pignose.Yes so why the Bad Rep? Steve isn't no slouch when it comes to amp design

IMO, there’s a massive gap with amplification with modelers. There’s Seymour Duncan, which IMO is pretty decent. And then there’s…..what?I know I know Fractal will never get into the Powered Cab game, but "what if" they could buy out a company like matrix for IP rights
build the best cabinets with 3 High quality speaker choices 8", 10" and 12" Powered (integrated amp) and Passive (outboard amp like the GTX)
name them Power FX, Passive FX with the Fractal Logo
Im pretty sure many would eat those up
Alto, Yamaha, and QSC have never let the "FRFR" community down and are usually far cheaper (and a much more realistically ergonomic design)You can replace "Matrix" in the paragraph above with "Atomic" or "Xitone" and it's the same story. What is up with companies in the "FRFR" space?
