What Guitar Are You Playing At This Very Moment...

I'm having too much fun with the Floyd to put the JEM down. Just spent 45 minutes practicing a goofy bar-dump-tapped harmonic-bar flutter movement so I could put it in the intro of a song. Because we all know the key to writing quality music is to ask yourself "How fucking stupid can I play this?" first.

Still this:

Had not seen that much of a green-ish hue until this picture.

Gorgeous! :love
Thanks! I like that a lot! Kinda unique in that regard. Practically every other Blue Honu I've seen (in pics), there's no green.

On about half the Majesties with this type of finish, that center section (which runs all the way through the body) takes stain differently than the "wings", like on this one. And on some, they match quite nicely, like on my 20th, where you can barely see the glue joint.

But for how much I paid, I ain't complainin'!

It's been a whiiiile since I've picked this up. It needed new strings and I knew once I changed them I wasn't going to put this down for a few weeks. I want to take it to my next band practice so I can hear the Aldrich in a band setting so I restrung it. I gotta say, as annoying as it is to have those bridge post thumbwheels turn on their own while restringing, making action adjustments is a fucking breeze.

My singer just put a Nazgul in one guitar and he's got the Devin Townsend Fishmans going in a sick LTD he just ordered. I was already starting to question the Nazgul in my Solar for the band, I love it for trem-picking/tight metal, but I'm not doing any of that in this band and think the Aldrich will suit me far better.

I've been leaning towards putting Aldrich sets in both my Edwards and the Solar and just dipping out of any pickup rabbit holes before I get into one. I'll keep the Nazgul on hand if I ever want to switch it back.
