Played some of my maple fretboard strats, and the frets/fretboard feel sticky, so I'm probably going to have to take some time as some point, and sand the finish off some, as it is unpleasant. I have maybe 6 or so with maple fretboards, so that'll be fun.

Bought this 2016 LP Traditional during the COVID shutdown. It came stock with 57 Classic pickups. I am not a fan of these so I installed a couple dimarzios I had laying around, but the sound was still meh.

I saw a set of Gibson T Type (T Top clones apparently) on Reverb so I snatched them up. I installed them yesterday and they are amazing. The neck pickup has the least amount of mud I’ve encountered. Bridge sounds sort of a combo of a Tele pickup meets an AC/DC sound.

Really impressed.

Changed out 3 more bridge pickups and restrung them after that!

I am thinking of getting some Wilkinson bridges to replace my Fender 6 point bridges, as I like the saddles and bridge plate design more.

Fretboard treatment, blocked the trem, restrung with 11-52, tuned to double drop C#, raised the saddles, did intonation, and now PLAYING!
