I finished my 5150 replica a few months back and I am still finding myself playing it more than my other guitars ( about 30).
What are you playing and why?

Oh man. Am I the only one who felt a little sad seeing this guitar? Still hard to accept he is gone

Were you a Steinberger rep long?

I was never a rep they just had me play on the stage they had , it was a trade only day and that’s when the players go.

It’s straight up the best guitar I’ve ever touched; from the nut width to the neck shape to the fact that it’s a 1 knob/1 pickup guitar.

Nothing touches it, it’s fantastic.

Occasionally I’ll play this; it’s a 2011 ESP Viper in drop B.

Nice! I has a GL2S with an EMG 89 in the neck (stock 81 in the bridge) that was my main player for ages. Sold it when I was young and (very) stupid.

If anyone hasn't seen @Eagle build threads, he is an incredibly talented builder.

I bounce between all my guitars but usually my Ibanez AZ2204 is my favorite. The jumbo stainless frets are a joy to play and I like the HSS configuration. The neck and in between positions are great to play clean and the bridge sounds nice as well, fairly low output pickups (neck and middle are under 6k and bridge is under 8k).

I really like the look of this one, similar but with slightly hotter pickups and a maple neck.

For the past year I seem to always reach for my LP Standard. I’ve used it for almost every gig I’ve played this past year. Any time I try using something else I end up wishing I was playing this one instead.
