What are we drinking now?

After many years of drinking expensive and overly hoppy craft beer, I have learned to appreciate a stubby bottle of Coors more than anything at this point. It’s refreshing, it tastes good, and it’s about a dollar a bottle. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve looked but can’t seem to find the original thread?
So as it’s coming up to that time of year where millions of gallons of beverages are consumed over the up and coming holiday celebrations .
I thought I would start one.
Just tried a bottle of fizzy water my daughter bought a case of from Lidl for me to try up against my favourite .
She said it gets great reviews.
Not from me it doesn’t 👎
It might be cheaper for six bottles but not enough fizz and once opened the fizz goes really fast compared to the S.Pelle 👍

Mine of choice is cheap strong beer and Clamato about a 5:1 ratio. A squirt of concentrated lime juice, and a dash of Tobasco.

Way back when we couldn't get that in our part of the United States. So when my Grandparents would
go to California they would stop in Colorado on their way back and get a couple of cases of Coors.

I've had friends ask me to bring back cases of Yuengling to AZ when I fly back east to visit relatives. lol

Nice! That's another we can't get here. :cheers

We can get Coors now---which is less Coors than I recall it being. The cool, boutique,
Rocky Mountain brew it once was is no longer. Corporate Megaliths buy up these beer
brands and then offshore their production. It's bonkers. Franchise Beer.

Coors still beats the other mass market domestic beers by a lot imo, but yeah I am sure it isn’t what it once was. And it’s still made in Colorado with local spring water afaik.

Nice! I thought I saw somewhere that it is bottled in various different regions for economic reasons. :idk

Edit: AI says only Coors Banquet is still being brewed in Golden, Co, while Coors Light is brewed in
several different places.

I'll have to grab some for the Holidays.

Ok according to grok, Coors Banquet is still made in Colorado with spring water, but Coors Light is made at various facilities with whatever water is available. Good to know. I definitely prefer the Banquet.

Somehow I missed that you already said this in the post I quoted. But yeah grab some banquet it’s still a great beer. And it comes in the stubby bottles.
