What Amp Are You Playing Today?

Engl Artist Edition 50 and Bad Cat Black Cat in stereo (Radial AB/Y in front, Volante into the Loops). Clean and Crunch heaven, imho. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover how much I like the Tremolo on the Black Cat in combination with the AE50. Subtle but sweet.

I’m going to see Meshuggah/Cannibal Corpse/Carcass tonight. Since I’ve mentioned I’m on a Slash/AFD kick I’ve got a LP tuned to Eb (D#)… Running straight into the JCM 800 for that tone with the LP and Slash pickups.

Well… Hammer Smashed Face is in D# and I had a Maxon ST9 Pro. Hmmm 🤔 … May as well make use of it in honor of the show tonight haha… :stirthepot

God damn what a versatile amp the 2203 is! (Duh!)… Without touching my current amp setting, just stuck the ST9+ in front and tweaked some knobs on it - boom, Hammer Smashed Face! 👊💥 :headbang:rawk

Since I referenced this show… here are the only 2 video clips I took… Too immersed into an amazing show especially Meshuggah… they are on another level!

Yo! Do you know about how long CC and Carcass sets are and what change over times are? Was planning on going Friday but I’m not going to be able to get to venue til 9/9:30 and it looks like the show starts at 6:30 :wat:hmm

Lol…if id by some strange leap of faith would end up in that crowd…I’d be charging for the nearest emergency exit ;)
You’d probably fall a sleep with the players I use as reference for amps…or throw bubblegum wraps at the drummer out of boredom ;)

For the record, no good or bad, just the observation that peeps talking gear do so from very different perspectives.
