Got it back in my dumb head to try the quilter again lol. Haven't tried it yet w the QC so imma play half rehearsal tonight w it and then compare it to the 6505.

This week it's this 1980 Bassman 70. I got it for free with a cab purchase. It was out of the headshell, not working and was missing power tubes but it had a full set of RCA labeled prewar Ei's under the tube shields. :banana

Someone replaced the power & standby switches and screwed up the wiring which was easy to fix.

I'm running it with a couple of pedals out front (Suhr Eclipse, Bogner La Grange and a Dano Pride of Texas). It's running through a PS2A with a Nemesis ADT and a HOF in its EFX loop.

Just finished a couple of hours with this amp, my main practice amp for home. I've also use it on some gigs and jam sessions when there's no backline. Today, I have it set flat and am running some pedals into the front end, including the two pictured here and a few others. It has an effects loop, so I might try that as an option at some point, but for now I'm using it to monitor my playing as I work on coordinating playing and pedals. I'm practicing for a solo guitar set next month, but I'll probably end up leaving this amp home and playing direct to the PA so the sound person can do the mixing.

The Blu Six punches way above its weight, and it suits most of my needs. I've used it on indoor and outdoor gigs, the largest being an auditorium solo set for 120 people and yet I didn't need to turn up much past 12:00. I've had several other amps, too, including a Roland Blues Cube Artist and an old Gibson Falcon. Both quite heavy, so I sold them and got this, which weights in at 12 pounds. It has 120W with a 5 band EQ, switchable tweeter, line out, headphone and speaker jacks, a TRS effects loop, reverb and a wireless auxiliary to connect my phone or a tablet for playing backing tracks, etc.
