Curious how my modded 87x compares to a stock model boosted?

Isn’t yours a Monomyth? If so it’s basically an entirely new amp built in the chassis, it’ll have little to nothing in common with a 1987x.

i just did this velvet revolver song today going for a rocking thing, its my LTD PB500, EHX gloveOD boosting and a k100. i gotta get a toneX and make some profiles. some proper Slayer clips would probably be cool too

thanks!! its different from anything else i have, im gonna guess its the KT88's, its kind of smoother and has a thick roundness thats unique.

Is it the Schumacher transformers as in the Rev + Krankenstein? or old Sovtek Mig parts? curious to see the guts and inside if you’ve ever peeked too.

Would have been really interesting to know what would have happened had that amp gone into production as a Krank product. I think the Marshall version is cool and makes sense, but Krank having Dime and Kerry would have been interesting.

im not even sure about the transformers, ill have to look. the board says made for kerry king on it with a number, but whoever had it before me covered it up with that silver stuff you can see in the corner of the board, i gotta try and get it off
