What’s the best chorus?

I leave the CE2W exclusively on the CE1 mode. It sits in a more pleasing way imo, which has made me slowly drift away from the core CE2 sound. When I want a really deep chorus-y sound I just turn to a EM-variant flanger.

I think the Dimension C is the goat for my tastes, or a tape chorus like on the Deco, with a controlled blend.

The Shallow Water is a great subtle anti-chorus. I’ve also been messing with the Diamond Vibrato, which does a good chorus. It’s cool because you can craft how the “chorus” sways and wobbles with vibrato controls, then bring in the amount of chorusing with the dry blend. You can get as subtle or whacky as you want.

One thing I’ve been liking a lot lately is using vibrato with delay after it so each repeat captures a different point in the sweep. You get all these subtle pitches swirling together instead of just two against each other.

Yeah I’ve been loving this pairing. I was kind of made hip to this using the Reverse Mode C, which has a vibrato modulation option. You get the width of a normal delay panning, but you also get the wave effect from the repeats shifting pitch.

I’m lathering everything in a subtle vibrato now. :ROFLMAO:Just enough to fill in a little space and create background movement.

I think I have something like 15 Chorus pedals, lol. To me, it depends on what type of Chorus. There are a few different "families" of Chorus. If it is the underwater clean type, then the EHX Small Clone or PolyChorus is hard to beat. For the more hi-fi digital Chorus for high gain, then the 8-Voice Chorus from the Intellifex is awesome. For a pedal, the Digitech CR-7 does this sound well.
