What’s a nice wireless for couch use?

I got a Kemper player on the armrest…and wanna get rid of some cables.
I don’t think I’ll ever use one live, so as long as there is no latency ruining the fun, and the sound is close enough…I’m good.
What should I look at?

Do you mean headphones? And in this case I'd suggest to look at Yamaha YH-WL500.

Or maybe you mean studio monitors? Or guitar wireless transmitter?

I’ve got a Joyo 2.4 GHz that has worked well for me. $50 CAD on Amazon no issues around my place, used it for a couple of shows and most importantly, it works with active pups.

For cheap, the Lekato WS-50 sounds great, has 6ms latency, and operates on the 5.8Ghz band.

The Boss WL-20 sounds great as well, has more channels, 2.4Ghz, and 2.3ms latency (only matters if you have other sources of latency).

Can vouch for the Boss WL-20, or the "no cable emulation" WL-20L which is what I own. The WL-20L works fine for passive pickups as long as you roll your tone knob down more. I don't know why they did two models instead of just an on/off switch for the cable emulation...

Dunno about the couch, but I got tired of destroying cables with the casters on my Steelcase chair...so I went wireless. I absolutely *hate* the Line6 G10. Had one transmitter conk out after a firmware update (even though the battery was fine). On the next one the plastic housing cracked and came apart. I'm now on my third transmitter.

On the plus side, I can't tell the difference between it and a cable.

I'm still using it, and when the current transmitter suicides, I'll probably buy another. I guess that says something.

5/6 ms of latency do make me doubt if thats gonna work for me, its going into a Kemper player (3.xx ms)…thats heading towards 10ms total…I think thats gonna bother me.

If that's all you have, you'll likely be fine. Especially with headphones, even slightly better with closed backs. But add another digital device with 2-3 ms more, and you're noticing latency.

It's a simple thing to check out and return if it does not work for you.

FWIW I've been using a G10 for past 6 years or so, battery now beginning to fail, Ibabied it along. I also have a G30 and found that it would work with G10 receiver on channel 1. Not quite as convenient as the G10 dongle but usable. Unfortunately the POS $$#%&%!!!@ transmitter clip has broken off so have to put it in my pocket. First world problems.:wat:bonk

I've had this Enya UHF one for just over a month and now the guitar side has a minor wiggle in the jack, enough to cause it to intermittently lose connection.

That's what I get for buying one from Amazon, luckily it wasn't $200 or something. Still about to contact their support, so hopefully they will give me a replacement.

I'd worry about dongle damage on the couch unless you're playing a Strat or SG/335 with the output on the front of the body.

Lekato WS-50 is good and inexpensive, rolls off some low end. Lekato WS-70 is cheaper, pads the output a little bit and rolls off some treble.

Line 6 Relay G10 would probably be too bulky.

Nu-X B-5RC has been pretty stable, sounds good, and is low profile albeit more expensive than a Lekato. I like the rechargeable case and mute button.
