Perception. I'm no eye doctor but the closer you are the bigger the object appears to be. Stand farther back and the object appears smaller. You know how when you take these eye tests they make you stand in a certain spot? I only assume that the measurement guide on the large letter is supposed to help with figuring all that out.

I’m going to need to print this up in my office at work. I realized yesterday a new hire is practically blind after telling him his paycheck was 1 foot in front of his face repeatedly until I had to get up and put it in his hands. Dude’s a f*cking locksmith but can’t see anything further than 9” from his face.
