The V4 preamp is a much better deal if you have access to a power amp. It must be getting discontinued, too. It is like $350.They’re blowing out the V1’s at SW and knocking $500 off.

I like the EBMM Sabre?
He seems like the kind of guy you could talk to in a bar and have a profoundly deep conversation about life itself. Something very "zen" about him. That Martin Kidd interview... better than Ambien.
I really love the MKII! They fixed everything that needed to be fixed for me:
BuzzoI’ll take King Buzzo over that clown.
He’s actually the YT’er I speak of whom posts his video’s from his Grandmotha’s attic.
WRONG attire for the video.
I’d actually give that man a proper hair-cut.
That thing has a mind of it’s own
Feather in some led’s on the ends &
connect the leads to his nipples.
NOW we’re cookin’ with FLAME
Haven’t…these companies figured out that we figured out, that this recording will sound literally nothing like what’s in front of ‘us’ after jammin’ out on it?
I'd say just get a 5150III variant.Any longer-term users of the VX Kraken MKII here?
I'm looking at getting a small footprint 50W head and this one seems decent. I'm wondering how's the loop on this one (if it's got any crackling, noise etc.).
I could get the 50W Stealth...I'd say just get a 5150III variant.
I could get the 50W Stealth...
I just played a 50w III, the 6L6. It's still such a one trick pony. Clean is fine, but bland and sterile. Red is so over the top in compression and gain, it's useless. Blue crunch is where it's at, which is pretty fun though. I wonder if the EL34 or Stealth are better in any of these areas.I'd say just get a 5150III variant.
That's one thing that kept me from grabbing one til this day.I just played a 50w III, the 6L6. It's still such a one trick pony. Clean is fine, but bland and sterile. Stealth cleans are fine but the EQ seems fairly goldilocks and the Badlander cleans are a lot more exciting, imo. Red Stealth channel is liquid and vicious. I also like it with the gain turned one notch above all the way off as a crunch vs. the blue Stealth as a crunchI just played a 50w III, the 6L6. It's still such a one trick pony. I'd be curious to know if it's the MKI or MKII.A friend of mine has one. Not sure if it's MKI or II. Honestly it sounds awesome. But he had a lot of reliability problems with it. He borrowed one of my Marshalls for a while until he could get it fixed because it would intermittently give him issues at gigs, cutting out etc and 2 techs couldn't find the issue. He finally took it to Big Crunch in Baltimore and they made a few fixes in the circuit and the amp is stable now. I think some caps were a bit underspec'd and it had a few other issues.
My buddy Raf in FL also had some issues with 2 Krakens but thankfully they were within the return period so he just returned them.
So idk, I've considered buying one because of the tone/power/size ratios but I don't know if I trust it lol
I just texted him and asked. I'll let you know when he replies.I'd be curious to know if it's the MKI or MKII.
Thanks for taking the time to post.
You can put that to good use and buy the amp!I'm here for the stupidity not for the amp.
