You forgot the pickles.
Sweet or dill?
You forgot the pickles.
Doesn‘t matter. Just pickles.Sweet or dill?
Yep I’m one of those dudes. When I was younger I could never afford new amps and I pined over several for years that were unobtainable. Now that I’m older, I have more capability to obtain these kinds of amps, so when a manufacturer releases something epic, sometimes I buy new.Do people even buy new amps anymore??
Yeah, the occasional new amp purchases but I’m
seeing a highly selective pull-back.
There’s still dude’s goin’ all out..,
-but not herds of dude’s.
It might just be my age, but there's really been no 'new' amp brands that have made me think they could deliver me something a Fender/Marshall/Mesa/Peavey couldn't. Everyone's just makin' different (and often great) modded Marshall variations and shittier copies of Mesa's and Peavey's.
It's true. No even subjectively true either. It just is.
It's also why a proper understanding of human psychology, and how we are triggered
in ancient ways by our constant evolutionary imperatives, is crucial in keeping me from
wanting to lick every turd released in the hopes that I discover some chocolate in
the mix.
I bet you are. You tart.I'm from N Ireland so I was always quite partial to snatch.
I'd add two to that list. Here in Britain there are Orange and Matamp, who make absolutely stonking amps. I used to think they weren't really my genre, but then I noticed at one point a lot of the bands I love use these brands, notably Cult of Luna and Bossk who are probably two of my all time favourite bands; they each use Orange and Matamp. It might just be my age, but there's really been no 'new' amp brands that have made me think they could deliver me something a Fender/Marshall/Mesa/Peavey couldn't.
