Unfortunately, I kinda find myself wishing for UA to release this as hardware. But fortunately that won't happen. And if it was, they'd very likely mess up all things UI royally.

Isn't this plugin UI pretty much what you were asking for in other threads? You can see almost everything important on the screen at once.

I'm downloading and installing now. Will give it a spin later today. Just subbed to Spark yesterday so I have a ton of plugins now to download and update.
Honestly $149 for all this gear is a great deal IMO. Six amps with a ton of cabs and a bunch of effects. That's what, $4k worth of UAD pedals if you bought the hardware? No more chaining effects to get everything in one instance either, which I've been wanting NDSP to do for YEARS.
Also, seems like it would be a cool way to demo their pedals to see if/what you want to buy.
The only question for me is what additional amps or effects will cost when they drop, although being UAD I'm sure there will be sales. I'd like to hear their 5150 and Recto pedals.

If you're a being paid good money for making such silly claim in a video, it might be game changing for you maybe? Even that is not true, as influencers have been paid to do "reviews" for years, so...
Don't get me wrong, it's a "nice" package with a good looking and boomer-friendly interface.
Parker guitars, Kemper were game changing products (rip Parker)... but this? Nah.

Messing around with the effects for a bit, they sound EXCELLENT. Reverb is big and lush, delays sound great right out of the gate, there's even a Micropitch which sounds awesome again with default settings. There's a lot of stuff that seems new to UAD like the drive pedals and a couple other effects like the Micropitch.
Seems like the cool thing to say about the plugin is BOOMER BOOMER BOOMER but there's 50 different NDSP plugins for ultra high gain modern shit. And right out of the gate the sound and workflow is more intuitive than Helix Native. Seems like a much quicker plug and play option for writing parts and recording ideas.

Seems like a pretty solid collection of amps and effects. It’s about 2x as many amps and 3-4x as many effects as the average Neural plug, so pricing seems ok. I’ll wait for it to get the UA sales and bundle treatment though.
Also, as a non-boomer, I find the use of the term “boomer” obnoxious and cringe worthy. It doesn’t at all come off like…

From watching parts of his video, it seems he thinks the amp sims and effects are just so above everything else.
But I don't know. He captured several of his amps with tonex 1.0 tech but had nothing to say about inaccuracies, at least from what I remember.
So I don't know what to think about UA plugin. Is it just that much more accurate to the real amps or what?...

Are this new amps different from what's been offered individually? I have them in my spark subscription, and to me, they all suck. Some suck less then others, but so inspiring to use, and they didn't feel like real amps either.

Without ”teh gainz” it’s probably not for me, but if I can demo the UA delays and reverbs in an easy one-install package I’d be tempted to try it out!

Why would anyone pay $150 for NDSP Archetype Petrucci (or anything NDSP), with also features limited amount of amps and effects compared to Helix Native?
It's a good package from a reputational company. You will not be stuck with option paralysis. The UI is easy to use, is huge and has bright colours so older people can read the small numbers without swearing (joking).
All these products have a target audience (if the marketing team did their job). This is probably not for Fractal people heh

Boomer also massively makes sense in the guitar realm when someone refers to boomer gear or boomer licks etc It’s generally referring to 60s to 80s or earlier, the distinction is real.

Not that different from a lot of others now comparing Helix Stadium vs OG and dancing around with words trying to say almost the OG is just as good, but the upgrade is is still worth it (??). The QC clones were also great... Now they suck? It's all about what YOU think. Videos are great to see features, and trying to capture how it sounds. The real test is real life use, me and how I like it.
And we have this problem. Two people "apparently" having zero direct connection with any brands can have as different opinions about them as humanly possible.
You can. I'm not sure every model included on the pedals is present, but there's a cool selection. 100% worth trying for the delays and reverbs alone.
Quality? Like I tried to show, it's not something we all will agree, and that's all fine. I personally don't get along with the OG Helix amp modeling and not a big fan of Neural also. For higher gain I'm much more into Mercuriall.
