Two Notes Reload II, with "Celestion-Approved Load"

I’d like Celestion to approve of my load. Where can I send it?

Wonder if they thanked Steven Fryette for the idea....

:puppet
Oh I missed that one: Reload 1 was released in 2013 and Steve enter the loadbox/attenuator market only a few years later if I'm not mistaken. I don't recall receiving any thank you note from Steve though. :p

More seriously, this is not a new-new concept and we all take inspiration from each others.

People have been loading down amps and reamping them for decades. If anything, I suppose people should be thanking Bob Bradshaw?

Of course! Even if using a dummy load with amps predates by quite a lot Bradshaw's work.

It's always good to be modest and never forget we all take inspirations from designers that preceded us. I never got to study deeply Bradshaw's work mainly because his products are pretty much unobtainium in Europe.

The improved impedance curves look really promising!

However, I find it a little unfortunate that Load Boxes are being equipped with more and more features that are only really needed by a fraction of users and that unnecessarily drive up the product price.
In the home studio, for example, you don't normally need a built-in power amp or multiple effects loop-ins or anything similar. Digital effects, impulses etc. are also superfluous for many users because the load box is connected to the audio interface anyway and is operated with a DAW.
I really wish more manufacturers would offer purely analog and simple load boxes without all the unnecessary frippery.

So what I‘d really like to see from Two Notes is something like an updated version of the Torpedo Captor with an improved impedance curve.
Thanks for getting in touch. We hear you 100% and you can be certain we're always working on new developments here at TNHQ! However, with Reload II, the specification actually came from our user base for the OG Reload - yes, it is an attenuator and loadbox, but amp expansion features were also heavily requested which is why you see Reload II as it is! Nonetheless, the feedback you sent is super important to us and you can consider it fed back!

I am very interested in trying one of these out when they are back in stock. I’m most interested in how the power amp feels/responds when using an Axe FX 3 in two cabinets.

Thanks for getting in touch - where about's are you based? If you let me know, I can let you know the rough stock availability date! :)

Friedman said it was the best sounding amp load he’s heard but he seems to be known for not liking digital solutions on the back end so do with that what you will.

There’s nothing digital in the Reload, so not sure what you mean? :unsure:

Now GC is saying July before this will come in?
Yes, we are doing our absolute best to get units in quicker but with the constant thing we're not talking about and increased shipping times, we are having a bit of a delay. My suggestion would be to get a preorder in to secure your shipment from the next batch.

Oh I thought it was an IR loader as well. My bad. Probably why he likes it then. 😂 Move along.
Yes indeed, Reload II features an all analog architecture and there is no cab simulation inside the unit. If anyone has any followup questions, I am here to help! :)

Is this some forum-enforced auto replacement of the T word?

I feel like this is a little excessive from the moderation, but that could just be me.

@The Colonel
@Lorne Malvo
@DrewJD82

It is. We've closed down a number of t word threads as if the subject can somehow not get political. It always does.
I stand by my comment.

Edited to add: I usually don’t have any issues with the moderation here, but let’s shine a little light, shall we. The auto replacement for the T word was something like “I’m being a dipshit and starting a political thread.” It seems the moderation agrees with me that this particular way of dealing with the problem was silly and childish because they’ve mod-editted that particular choice away and gone with another auto-replacement. L for the mods.
