Two Notes Reload II, with "Celestion-Approved Load"

I’d like Celestion to approve of my load. Where can I send it?

Wonder if they thanked Steven Fryette for the idea....

:puppet
Oh I missed that one: Reload 1 was released in 2013 and Steve enter the loadbox/attenuator market only a few years later if I'm not mistaken. I don't recall receiving any thank you note from Steve though. :p

More seriously, this is not a new-new concept and we all take inspiration from each others.

People have been loading down amps and reamping them for decades. If anything, I suppose people should be thanking Bob Bradshaw?

Of course! Even if using a dummy load with amps predates by quite a lot Bradshaw's work.

It's always good to be modest and never forget we all take inspirations from designers that preceded us. I never got to study deeply Bradshaw's work mainly because his products are pretty much unobtainium in Europe.

The improved impedance curves look really promising!

However, I find it a little unfortunate that Load Boxes are being equipped with more and more features that are only really needed by a fraction of users and that unnecessarily drive up the product price.
In the home studio, for example, you don't normally need a built-in power amp or multiple effects loop-ins or anything similar. Digital effects, impulses etc. are also superfluous for many users because the load box is connected to the audio interface anyway and is operated with a DAW.
I really wish more manufacturers would offer purely analog and simple load boxes without all the unnecessary frippery.

So what I‘d really like to see from Two Notes is something like an updated version of the Torpedo Captor with an improved impedance curve.
Thanks for getting in touch. We hear you 100% and you can be certain we're always working on new developments here at TNHQ! However, with Reload II, the specification actually came from our user base for the OG Reload - yes, it is an attenuator and loadbox, but amp expansion features were also heavily requested which is why you see Reload II as it is! Nonetheless, the feedback you sent is super important to us and you can consider it fed back!
