I’m bored with gear demos. All gear starts to sound the same. I want to hear people play music, show their creative side, and it’s cool if I know or don’t know what gear they used.

Not pointed at you just the gist of the convo.. so far as the whole clickbait thing… I don’t blame them for trying to make money. People say “just play and write cool stuff” etc but we all know and so do content creators that alone probably won’t really drive the numbers to the point fast enough to being able to make a living doing it.

That said, I think a good YouTuber could find a balance and a creative way to get content done and not lean in so hard on the clickbait stuff. It’s gotta be hard to come up with that much content and not fall into the clickbait trap.

I’m not offended by the clickbait as much as I’m am the complete and utter BS that amps will die some untimely death because some young dudes came up to him and told him they haven’t even owned an amp and don’t plan to. Well duh… because you don’t know what you don’t know. I said I’d never smoke weed until I did. :rofl

Remember that South Park episode where they talk about commercials will get to a point where you can't even tell it is a commercial? Even videos like this are a commercial, even if indirectly.
 
Well for whats its worth, this shows why this forum is great, so many different users of different types of gear
Amps, pedals, modelers, plugins, profiling, hell even wooden spoons and pots :D
we all like what we like no wrong no right just what works for us for any given situation
this forum is proof positive there is room for all gear that deliver our glorious tones !
