Top 5 Streaming Recommendations: What You Got?

As a busy chap who owns a business, is a single Dad, has to do most of the domestic
duties, and also plays, writes, and records musical nonsense in my spare time I loathe
losing/wasting any time. Been burnt on a few streaming recommendations and was
left feeling like I would have been better off NOT sitting on my ass and passively
consuming that kind of content.

So, if you could recommend your Top 5 All-Time shows to stream for someone like me
what would they be?

OH, AND NO PORN.... AIN'T GOT TIME FOR THAT SHIT EITHER!! :LOL:

What genres are you drawn to? Have you watched a bunch of stuff already where we go "The Sopranos! Curb Your Enthusiasm! The Wire!" and you go "I've already seen all that!"
 
If you're looking for something to watch with the kid, Making Fun on the 'flix has been one of my daughter's go-to shows
 
Man, all I watch lately is interrogation videos and trial footage. I need to take a break from it before it corrupts my young, delicate mind. I love ‘em because I can just noodle away/dial in tones while they’re playing and I’m not really thinking about what I want to watch. I love the psychological aspects of interrogation vids and soak ‘em up just for that.

Yeah, for anyone who hasn’t watched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, just watch each show up to about the 4th-5th episode and you’ll be hooked.

I still need to hit up Banshee, but Schitt’s Creek was outstanding, Catherine O‘Hara alone is worth the watch, but everyone on that show is great.

Sci-Fi is my go to, when it is good. Love some dystopia on the screen, too. Not big on horror or period
pieces. No corsets and knickers for me. :LOL:


I did stream Goliath a few years back, and liked it. Also Man In The High Castle. I liked Russian Doll, too.

I had to turn him off the other day. I somehow get suckered into watching him and then halfway
through he says or does something that pisses me off and then I move on, only to get sucked in
again, and not make it through another video. This time it was him ranting about "elitists." How
precious, Rhett. How so very precious!! :rofl

Man, I could not pull that off. I can't do true crime or horror, because my view of the world is already tenuous at best. :LOL:

I am all good with slaughtering the fuck out of Orcs, though. Weird, huh?

I totally get that. There are a lot of times I do shut it off because I’ve had enough of it and it’s giving me a bummed out vibe, as long as I’m not hearing a lot of details about gruesome crimes, I’m good to go. I’m more interested in the psychology aspects of it all than the crimes themselves.

Orc slaughtering is much easier to take in. :ROFLMAO:
 
Sci Fi, future dystopia, my kind of jam. Deep Space 9 all day.
Some Netflix things I've seen and didn't hate:

Dark
Black Mirror
The Umbrella Academy
Don't Look Up
Travelers
The OA
Awake

Breaking Bad isn't Sci Fi but it's pretty damn dystiopian sometimes. Great show.

Thanks, Alex! I made it a couple of episodes into both Black Mirror and The Umbrella Academy
a few years ago. I'll check those others out, but it may be Ring Of Power night here. :beer
