Disagree. There are some really nice captures in there. However, it’s not leagues and miles above other captures you can find if you are willing to dig. Still, it stinks? Nah.

I checked the captures out briefly, but got sidetracked and ran out of time on the demo. I wouldn’t mind spending a little more time with them.

I liked that these are supposedly made in Italy and not China, but way too expensive compared to just buying a standard one if I finally cave and do it. I don’t much care for the Satriani collection but is probably better than the crap stock captures.

I bought the software when it came out and has regretted it a lot since then, especially the shitty, not-synced experience on the iPad and phone apps (which was a big reason for me back then).

Edit: just checked and the normal ones are also made in Italy, my bad!

I don’t know anything about the production of these pedals. But I believe Italy is known to have pretty «liberal» rules for when you are allowed to use «Made In Italy» - at least in the clothing industry.

Its because its bundled with the Satriani pack. If you already own that pack, you actually get a discount that makes it normal price (on IK website).

With VAT included it’s still way more expensive than other retailers price for the standard in Europe. I actually had the discount active when I checked the price since I have the old version of Amplitube MAX that contains the Satriani pack…

I have the Satriani pack for Tonex. There are some nice captures in there, like the deluxe reverb, but I seldom use any of them and generally prefer captures from Amalgam.

Pretty much my staple on my Tonex one at the moment. Everything from cleans to eob to full Satch-urated. I love his Marshalls, especially the Squares ones. The soldanos are awesome too. Some of them are bassy, but it's just a knob to dial it out to taste.

I use my ToneX One as. a tube power amp sim with my tube preamps, works well for that as well!
