I take back what I said about these. I got to spend a little more time with them this evening after a few dabs.
They aren’t dark if you dial them in properly (my buddy’s fault).
I dialed in a tone using the Mark IV model on the Helix that reminded me of the song “A Rite of Passage” from the Black Clouds and Silver Linings album. Very satisfying to riff on.
Still not worth $80 (maybe closer to a dram of Gellette or Walmart brand beard oil), but there are a couple of gems in there.
