TONE3000 - tone3000.com (previously ToneHunt and TONEZONE3000)

I would imagine the web rig is just good for testing due to latency. Funny how they make it seem like it's some kind of alternative.

That said by someone who hasn't used it, and is just guessing. The other things they have going on this month seem to be more relevant.

ToneHunt had this feature too - it's good that it's back even if only just to get a rough idea with your own guitar

Pretty cool - worked on Safari for me - but didn't on Firefox 148 both running on macOS Tahoe 26.3
Plenty of latency when I tried it on Safari.
I think that's due to Browser not being ready for low latency and were never meant to be used that way.
Haven't used Windows in a while and never touched a Mac, but on Linux I would just probably record something and let it playback on Loopback, which would be my "Interface" or Input for the Browser. No Latency issues and perfectly reproducible results.

We have another secret partner who would love your feedback as they explore modeling tech: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K3DLSDS
Looks like the secret partner put their name several times at the end of the survey.

Would have been nice to have a form there so I could tell them how much typing a tone out is no easier than just dialing it in with knobs. So many of those options suggested to tweak tones fix problems that don’t exist IMO, but there was nowhere to say that.

Haha the cover is blown whoops

Here's the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K3DLSDS

@2dor beat me to it!

We’re finishing up Architecture 2 (A2), the next generation of Neural Amp Modeler (NAM). A2 is designed to sound better, run more efficiently, and work on more devices, so you can take your tones anywhere. Today, we’re opening blind listening tests to the community. We'd love for you to participate!

A2 summary

working my way through these. The more that people can participate; the better for everyone.

Still hacking away over here.
Massive credit on the setup and implementation of this. I feel like this is a very meaningful public test and not just a 2 second yes or no kind of thing, go nerds!

Reamping will still stay the same & current best-practices still apply.
The A2 architecture comes to improve efficiency, accuracy while trying to cut training time in the process supposedly. We'll see when it drops - very curious about it.

So am I right in thinking that all the changes are in the "backend" (?) and all the existing "stimulation files and processes done by the user remain unchanged ?

Yeah. Folks that already have the reamping flow down should just be able to reamp & train like they've always done. It's not clear if there's a new training WAV file yet but that shouldn't matter too much as far as the process is concerned.

Yeah that's a really well done UI for it. I think the only thing it's missing is a single click A/B button to toggle between the reference and selected clip.

I don't think I'm willing to go through that many clips though.
