This James Dean Bradfield interview is Fookin Excellent 👌🍺

JDB seems like a lovely bloke. Based on some old Guitarist interview he's a total gear Wh*re like us with a whole warehouse of guitars etc.

That Lonestar combo + JCM900/4x12 is an interesting combination. Should see if they're anywhere nearby this year to see them live.

For weird influences, Manics with Motorcycle Emptiness and Metallica with Master of Puppets were probably the songs that made me want to pick up guitar back in the day.

They're definitely worth seeing live. I've seen them 5 or 6 times since the mid nineties and really enjoyed every single one of them.

Being in New York, Manics don't get here as often as I'd like.

I did get to see them when they toured The Holy Bible on it's 20th anniversary in 2014. That's still one of my top 5 shows ever.

Honestly never heard a Manics song all the way through, now I'm in my 40s and mellowing a little, I may just give them a listen on the drive home.

Great interview, really likeable chap.
