The Rack Thread

they are very sturdy and i love the side panels are optional, you can access the cabling from the side by leaving them open. $250 for a 22U is a no brainer for a rack that's just gonna stay furniture

edit to add they come with screws with plastic washers, and the columns have threaded holes in both size thread, no messing with those little captive nuts in a cage

Awesome. Im not worried about the aesthetic, I just need something sturdy. Price is great.

Finally pulled the trigger:

Only been screwing with the presets so far, but really digging it. Lands you right in the zone.

Other rack shit:

Got that 22U AxeAccebles rack up. Solid for the money. The base and casters are really sturdy. The only knock is the rack screws on the bottom third don’t line up 100% so I’m just bottom screw mounting those, which is fine for a rack that’s not going to move. Top 2/3rds lines up great so all good.

I think I’m going to pull the trigger on that RedSeven MSLM mixer and wire that in to the second patch bay. The rewire I need to embark on is going to suck, but it should be pretty badass once done.

u need to loosen up the front two columns again and put gear in bottom middle and top, then tighten columns back down. they leave a lot of play in the base and lid mounting holes before you torque the fasteners down, no way that steel is actually bent

That's a clean unit. Might wanna go ahead and replace the internal battery.

Yeah, I haven’t popped the hood yet, but the dude said he had the battery mod installed. I first wanted to clear the hurdle of “does it make desirable guitar noises right out of the box” before nosing around in it. So far so good 🤞

What are you pairing it with? I've had one since 93, and used a Mesa Stereo 50/50 with it for decades. Loved the tones, and the switching capabilities for playing in a cover band!

So far the KSR PA100R. Gonna try the stereo rig this evening with LXII.

I just printed out the manual, so I can go full back to the future with the controller schema :ROFLMAO:
