I occasionally use AI at work as a shortcut for chemistry math calculations. Fantastic for that.
Not into its use for anything “creative”
I’m super disappointed that a lot of musicians that pop up in my algo that I enjoy and that I follow are shilling for suno promotions/ads. Gross and upsetting.

One god for another, one body of language for another. His "simulation" is my universe/ alternate universe(s). His "reality" is my multiverse, and so on. Yawn.Agreed. I enjoy listening to people talk about simulation theory, but it ultimately seems to be replacing one God for another.
This is the only worthy use of AI
It's all fun and games until the AI robots get a taste for ass pounding and we're all just strapped to a machine that keeps us just alive enough so our AI overlords can have their way with our asses.

China is slapping together nuclear power plants like they're Dunkin Donuts franchises.I don't think we have the infrastructure yet to expand AI and personal automation. We don't have anywhere near the energy grid to support electric vehicles for instance. Not sure about the data pipeline either.
Personally I think we still have a lot of fish to fry with the mental drain of smart phones and social media. I watched a really good video recently about how our brains are being rewired through social media endless scrolling. We're becoming dopamine addicts. I've started making changes the last couple days...we'll see how it plays out.

I sent a couple of concrete buddies the vids where he's tearing through a freshly poured drivewayMy kids don’t even know who Stephen Hawking is, but they love watching him compete in the X-Games half pipe event.
I wonder after this conversation if I’m still an ignorant old man, worrying about new technology?
