This is probably what he was thinking of in regard to Vai using it live and what I referenced in my comment on the vid--



You're definitely right, it made it's first appearance with Vai on Sex And Religion in "Touching Tongues", but he used the shit out of it on this tour.

More abuse at the end of the song from a different show, audio sucks but gets the point across-



I'd never heard a guitar scream like that before, I was really only into EJ and Gilmour until the night I saw that Vai show and was blown away you could make it scream like that. Nearly 30 years later it's still tickles me pink.

I’ve just watched the excellent video.
Very interesting and very enjoyable

I remember Josh Scott JHS doing a video on DOD / Digitech Pedals with Tom Cram live .
They were back in production.
Josh played through one of his two Space Station pedals and I’ve wanted one ever since.
Love for that to be brought back.

So for those of you who own a whammy: which one is your favorite, and why? Everyone seems to have their own preference...

Personally I use the DT the most but haven’t used it much since the new Neon arrived.
We’ve been having lots of fun playing around with that.

I like all of them .
