The Diezel VH4 (Model) Thread

Yeah that's user error in reamping, the DI needed to get lowered - I'll re upload another one later after I've A/B'd myself to a coma lol:bag
Try lowering the bass to 3.5 isj, and keep the Deep on 4.5-5 and try the drive at 2. Mid at 8 :)
The model have a lot of gain on tap, it`s like a Friedman HBE as you turn down the Gain, it has gain all the way down also

Yeah everyone ignore that whole thing lol I might delete it. I jacked the whole reamping thing up and I'm much closer to Mirror's clips - I'll post later!

It sucks ...
I’ve only spent around 5 minutes with it, but once I turned the master way down (like enough where it needed another block afterwards to add level) it didn’t sound too far off my amp (albeit through a load box).

I still sort of feel like there are good tones in there once you account for the load and poweramp, but I haven’t spent enough time with it

I think his tone just varies from any one section to another. Verse could be superbass, chorus Dual rectifier

That's exactly how Joe Barresi described it

Iirc there was an whole q&a on the gearsluts (now gearspace) forum back then, where he described it all. Don't know if it's still there.

Lateralus and 10000 days sounds are and will ever be a benchmark on every production aspect.

@MirrorProfiles - would definitely love your input of the new bogren digital bh4 plug that launched.
Checking it out now. It's cool, but it's dialled in quite dark/box for my taste. Cab IR's sound pretty solid, looks really nice.

Tonally, it's not for me unfortunately. I'd either need the full amp controls, or just for the reference amp to be dialled a bit more "modern" sounding.

Tried the ENGL too, similar feelings. It's cool but not how I'd dial the amp in. Compared it to Softubes model and got quite close with these settings:

Both amps are really ones I'd want to have a bit of freedom to dial in in different ways. A recto or 5150 can do tons without really changing settings much but for more versatile amps I think part of the appeal is what you can hone in on.
