The BE100 Model Thread

Your BE100 DLX NAM pack is probably my favorite Friedman capture pack.

Another underrated: Sweetwater Sounds (gasp!) QC V1 captures (BE & HBE).
I recall those were the very first captures in tried when I got my first QC - they felt great under the fingers.

That pack turned out pretty good - I enjoy playing through it a lot myself.

Fractal's low end is weird. It sounds very flubby. Helix has much more gain than the amp and it sounds very compressed and mid focused. I think STL and Neural did a better job here.

Maybe I need to look at them like that. I always felt the "BUT YOU HAVE A FREDMAN AVALABUL FOR GANNED UP MARSHULL!" was a dumb alternative. I still do.

This. I love Friedmans, but I treat the BE like its own thing (and not a Marshall), boost it and use my ears to dial it in.
I’ve never owned a Friedman head, I’ve had both of the Friedman BE pedals, the HBE Synergy module, and the models in the various modelers. As a primarily prog metal and soloist player, where I fit the Friedman sound into what I do is as a secondary lead sound. My standard full-bore lead sound is a Mesa, my half gain lead sound is a Friedman model, and my low gain lead sound is either a Matchless, Plexi, or Lone Star model in the FM9.
