FWIW if you ever stumble across a Studio Preamp you could throw that and your Mark III in a rack and have the quad plus a killer simul class power amp.

I've looked for rack kits and headshells but everything either doesn't exist offically anymore or is astronomically expensive. It's been easy to let that combo stay a combo just because it never gets moved from it's perch.

Not gonna lie, that sounds pretty metal! That kid is going places. To help their future career, you should rename them "Monster-Truck McSmashFace Orvillain". I'm sure they'll grow to become a barrister or something.

As for the switch, at least that looks like one of the easier parts to fix on a Mark V. Unless Mesa used some "only available from Mesa" part for it.

Yeah, doesn't look too bad. Just gotta sharpie up the connectors so I connect them the right way. Got a part coming from Tube Amp Doctor within a week or so I'd guess.

I dunno... You ever try to pull one of those off? The contacts angle down to engage into a slot, and you really have to wiggle TF outta them. Assuming they're the kind I'm thinking of. I mean, I get the reason why, but in tight quarters, they can be difficult to remove.
