Here's a shot of the mini stack.BTW I love the cream/tan livery. Mine's the one on top of the rack, different look; now of course I think I should have gotten cream.

Sooo tasty. Love the attention to detail, from the livery right down to the matching 'Mesa Engineering' badges!
Are the HRGs also supposed to be “limited” like the ++? Probably already sold out!
The head belongs on a stack of black speaker cabs, because…
For me it his 90s guitar tone. Awake, ACOS, and the second LTE album. The beginning of Acid Rain is my favorite guitar tone. That, the tone in The Mirror and Lie, and then Fear Factory’s entire Demanufacture album. In my opinion, John Petrucci's tone is the holy grail. When I hear his live playing, that's the sound that keeps me awake at night.
I'm not a Dream Theater fanboy—I don't hate them by any means—but the keyboards and vocals just aren't my thing. I should karaoke all their music to strip those out so I could actually enjoy it.
Anyway, I recently picked up a used JP6 and wanted to dial in his settings. I knew Ola had a video breaking down John's rig, and there are tons of other sources out there, but I ended up binge-watching a bunch of Mesa Boogie videos featuring him. They were demoing the JP2C, him testing the Mark V 25 and his tone is just killer.
The whole thing reignited my love for the JP2C, and I decided not to sell it after all. The Mark V and JP2C are pure.
Those two amps would make for some seriously fun stereo rigs, no doubt, but truth be told, the FM9 makes stereo setups so much easier, and it nails both amps spot-on.
For all of the metalhead: John Petrucci tries out Mesa Mark VII at Rick Beato's studio:
For that style of music, they seem pretty darn perfect. The tones he's just pulling out of thin air on this vid are INSANE and a perfect example of I may have NEVER, EVER liked LaBrie but you can't deny those tones![]()

That video they are basicly giving a demo on stage of the JP2C when it was pretty new I think.
He tries to get it to match the Recto, a Mark IV and a Roadking and I don't know if it's a match but it sounds amazing.
That one he is testing the Prototype of the Mark V 25. The 1x12 at first sounds great and the 4x12 they switch to again is just beaut.
I would LOVE Ola's modded V-Twin to be something you could pickup off the shelf or get modded to those specs.I JUST missed a $600 triaxis at GC but DID NOT miss the VTwin rack I just snagged for $275.
Gotta love taking advantage of GC. Never miss an opportunity…except for that triaxis.
I have a REALLY good tech here. Honestly at the price I got it I’ll probably just flip it if I’m not into it, but I think it’s gonna make a hell of a stereo option with the studio preamp and 2:90.I would LOVE Ola's modded V-Twin to be something you could pickup off the shelf or get modded to those specs.
Wow! That means someone let go of their Triaxis for around $300 trade credit.I JUST missed a $600 triaxis at GC
