Has anyone seen any price breaks recently on Mesa gear? I know there was a killer deal recently on MF’s Stupid Deal of the Day.

I’d like to finally try out the Badlander as it seems like a good fit for my tastes. I’d love to have a small combo or possibly the 50 watt head if super cheap. Also, has there been any talk of build quality changes since they were bought? I hope not.

It has a very interesting feature. The Intensity knob... at minimum... 1 reverse echo.... as you turn it up, it brings in other echoes that are timed slightly differently, and gives a really thick wash.

You guys have me gassing for a Mark V. But I already have the V:25 and I've also been gassing for a Fender Deluxe. And now there's a Mark V locally for $2000 and a 65 Deluxe (Tweed version) for $1200.

It's quite the conundrum, I tell you.

Deluxe reverbs are cool and all, but get the V:90

Cool. Any clips or examples? More of special effect or throughout an entire song?

I've only ever dabbled with Reverse Delay. A cool one in the Chroma Console
the last one I have tried. Probably not enough imagination on my part.

Just fired up the 5:25 (it had been a while). Warmoth Strat with Lollar Blondes, clean mode, gain max, bass off, mid noon, etc. I was just playing through the cab clone (open back setting) through the Archangel-equipped FR-12. GAS for Deluxe averted. The 5:25 was kinda doing the thing.

Then with some humbuckers through Crunch and Extreme modes with different settings. GAS for the V:90 averted for now.

What a killer little amp.

Yeah I've been eyeballing high wattage Marks and did the same thing the other day with my 5:25 - especially for home use, it sounds glorious when cranked. The 5:25 is the bean-o for Mark GAS.

Not if you can start the delay swell before you even play the note. Obviously only really doable on a recording session, but when done right, it kicks ass.

Case in point, the chorus vocals on Queensryche’s song “Empire.” Simply perfection using the reverse delay/reverb to make the vocal even more haunting.
