I ordered a wicker grill through Sweetwater back in February - still waiting on it

Was too damn responsible last night. I knew it was a smoking deal and
wouldn't last. Had a chance to pull the trigger and was too much a Calvinist
to do so.

Fired up the Mark V today for the first time in a bit, damn this thing really is cream of the crop
Wish I could gig it but need to solve the intermittent switching issues first. Also something weird happened jamming today, just lost all power for a minute…. Figured a fuse must’ve blown. Checked fuse, fully in tact. Popped back in restarted the power strip and and came back just fine![]()
Had fun gigging the IV last week but truthfully it’s just so insanely loud, venues vary but that last spot was not quite to the sweet spot on the master. And it was still fuckin loud lol
Planning on bringing my III to next weeks gig, at least that one’s 60watts should be able to hit the sweet spot without issue
is the v getting the dreaded 'loop-itis'?
i've jumpered my two other mesas cause the jacks go loopy and intermittent.
Not the loop issue… I randomly will completely lose sound when switching channels sometimes. The amp itself shows the correct channel but there’s no sound. It can be remedied by switching back and forth again. It’s very intermittent and random tho. Not a problem I’ve been able to find others having either, until very recently. A dude on the boogie board is recently having similar issues
I assume it’s gotta be a relay on its last leg
Do you mean on the Mark V:25 or V:35? Because the 90W model already has the output knob and the loop level knob which will do the same job.OH.. and being a broken record, man, i cannot recommend putting a passive attenuator in the loop enough! even if you just knock a few dbs off its the difference between a enough power to sponge the amp up a bit and let it breathe and just being way too loud on 2.
If you have the 90W model, have you checked if you get sound out of the tuner out?Not the loop issue… I randomly will completely lose sound when switching channels sometimes. Functionally this doesn't do anything other thangive you more gradual volume control. Without the loop my Mark V 90 gets very loud very quickly.
For real. With the loop (and output/solo knobs) disabled, I can run Mark V 90 ch2 and ch3 masters at like 9 o'clock before it gets too damn loud. Turn the loop circuitry on, no problem just dialing in the output where you want.nah i meant the mark iv, which i dont think has a loop volume! if the v has one thats a great feature to integrate cause gads does my 60w master get loud fast.

That gives you the entire preamp signal. Still questioning why Mesa made that design, it's absurd for something called "a tuner out".
The vypyr tube stuff is fucking killer.Last night I re-tubed my Mark V with all Tung-Sol 6l6's and 12ax7's and a Electro-Harmonix 5U4GB.
But on Sunday I got a google alert for a deal I could not pass up and by the time I was able to test the Mark I instead got my new toy I could not pass up. It's not a Boogie but it was $250 used on Guitar Center.

I have had the combo from back when they were brand new and always wanted to see how it would do with a better closed back cab.
It sounds really good for what it is.
It is such a good amp. I find myself sad at what Peavy has become. I have seen your Vypyr combo before, I like your non batman version and the original as well.
The rhythms in this make me moist like a nice cupcake from your local bakery that is entirely staffed by Angels.
I honestly love this amp so much. I've had many amps over the years, and I've still got 8 or so. But this is definitely a top tier amp for me.Sweet jeebus that sounds great dude.
