😄 im frankly glad i dont need to move my 212 with basically two of them very often. but a single thieles not THAT bad!

drummers are tough from hauling traps cases though. use what y got to get it done 😄

He’s had it pretty easy the last several shows we’ve played lol, lots of drum sharing he’s only has to haul his cymbals recently lol

I’m typically the guy that stays the whole night and networks/waits for the check

And when the rhythm section inevitably leaves before me I can farm out most my rig and imbibe the rest of the night and hop in an uber with just my guitar and pedalboard :rofl

my role was sober driver, early morning shift, highway long shift puller, and gear mule. banned from most city driving, and access to onstage microphones. 😄

Every single time. Every single fucking time.

Every single time I play my Mark V. I'm like a pig in shit.

So so good.

Still haven’t sorted my relay problem :(

Lately I’ve just been playing it as a two channel with edge mode barely breaking up and mkIV mode :love

There’s some deep magic on that clean channel tho so I need to fix this sooner rather than later

Sorry, I'm gonna gush again.

Yesterday I had very little time to get some demos done for drum recording we're doing today! Probably only about 4 hours or so.

I thought "I've not used my Axe FX in a while" so I started tracking with it. But man, it just wasn't doing it for me. Finnicky, didn't sound as good as I wanted, and on the whole my mood was souring.

So I hooked up the Mark V to my Suhr Reactive Loadbox. Plugged my pedals into the front of the amp as I normally do, and was up and running within a minute. Then proceeded to smash out these 2 songs we are demoing. Got all the click tracks in place, got all the guide guitars in place, it was very very easy, and sounded great.

Heading to the studio in an hour or so to get these drums down. I'll see if the band mind me posting clips later.

This is my world right now. Currently tracking an EP and opted to not use amp modeling this time around.

I’ve been using different combinations of a 2204, Mark III, and revision G Dual Rec w/ individual pedals through the Suhr RL. The tones are there almost instantaneously and everything feels WAY more lively when tracking. It’s inspiring and that 100% comes through in the tracks.

There’s a captor RL collecting dust here that I may enlist to try out dual amp tracking just for shits n giggles. Might be fun to rock the 1959 and Dual Rec and chase Adam Jones.

Had an afternoon practice today before a gig this evening

Mark III didn’t go to the gig but it’s what is posted up on my drummers basement currently. Completely forgot to switch to my HX stomp set of presets that have the Mesa EQ model engaged and didn’t realize to close to the end of the set run. I could tell something sounded different then normal but took quite a while to realize lol. Cleans and leads sounded awesome without that V scoop…. But damn when it came to the palm mute chug chugs it just sounds assy without the scoop  once I got to some parts involving that the issue became immediately apparent

I’m keeping this purple stripe forever but damn if someone else doesn’t buy this fully loaded blue stripe that’s local to me in the next few weeks I might have no option but to take action lol

im tellin ya man. run your mids up to 7-8, drop your bass accordingly. the eq is but one way to skin that cat. 😁 all that chonk comes back up! its definitely not the same, and i know modern sounds need the eq, but its capapble of great feats of non-assiness. 😄

Just curious, but why not move to the blue stripe and unload the purple? You’re putting yourself in a situation where you have to rely on an external EQ that frankly doesn’t sound as good, and can break or be forgotten.

A fully loaded blue stripe locally for a stupid price just seems like a no brainer here.

im gonna say 'cause the eqless marks are better sounding!' 😄

i have only my evidence of being an eqless mark owner, not actual scientific evidence of any kind. 😁

Well I just really like the thing…..

I’d actually say it’s my #1 live amp preference at the moment even with all my hopping around and using different stuff

Also the mark III market is completely dead around here. Case in point with both said blue stripe that’s been sitting for weeks and weeks now. And My purple sat for months before I bought it for $900, and I simply won’t sell amps online anymore. It’s also in a goofy headshell that I like just fine but would also probably be a turn off to buyers. Regardless, Ive learned my lesson in selling gear I like. Acquire only, never sell

man thats just nuts. theres a mark iii here (granted... been sitting) thats up for $2100.

i seriously think older marks are smarter than most of the dudes whove bought them over the years 😄 gotta learn how to use em.
