Season 8 Winners and Stats

Well there it is folks! Season 8 closes with 8 entries in Week 8 on March 8th!! That is some craaaaaaaaaazy 8's right there people ;~))

So we see that PLX is once again, the CHAMPION! I sure hope he is OK and can grace us with his presence to accept his accolades ;~)) Of course, he will get his "Champion" banner regardless. Congratulations Champ on another great season!!! Here are some other weiners for the Crazy 8's Season:

Whizzinby ends Season 8 with 8 entries as of March 8!
ᛗᛜᛜᚺDᛜᎶ Ꮤᛨᚳᚴ ends with 35 entries, the numbers of which add up to 8 ;~))
Total entries of 142 is the highest number based on average submits per user for a season. We had 20 participants so that comes out to 7.1 entries per participant on average! Previous record was from Season 7 where there were 18 participants contributing 124 entries giving that season a 6.88 entry per participant breakdown. Season 1 still holds the record for the most submissions in a single season, but that was with 27 participants (I had previously stated that it was the record holder for per participant submission percentage, but that was incorrect - see new worksheet below)! Way to go people!! Awesome noise ;~))

I have created a "Master Totals" worksheet in the spreadsheet and here is a print screen as it stands after Season 8 (some fun totals and ratios in here - among other things you can see that PLX has first place over all seasons by a VERY wide margin):


Great to see all our new participants this season as well as the returning players! Try and encourage others to participate next season. Talking about gear is one thing, doing something with it is what this Challenge is all about!

If anyone wants to volunteer to run the Challenge for Season 9, feel free to chime in with a post here and/or a DM to DrewJD82 or David Lo Pan ;~)) I will host again next season if asked to do so, but I would not mind having next season devoted to participation only if someone else would like to ring lead this circus ;~))

Way to Rock n Roll it people! It has been a great Season 8 and I appreciate each and every one of you who has participated! I will now go back to my corner and let you guys all bitch about gear I know nothing about ;~))

A dozen or more times I considered removing that half human from that picture, but I convinced myself that it represented all of the slackers here at the forum who don't want to share what they are playing and instead just talk talk talk like half animated corpses!

Thank you to all for your kind words! I enjoy being the MC but as I said, if anyone else wants to take a shot at it, feel free to step up for Season 9. The spreadsheet should help anyone who may choose to take the controls and I will be happy to assist in any way necessary. The spreadsheet makes managing many elements of that task a bit easier and I like having the full history to break down what is going on. Some of the statistics may help us think of ways to improve the challenge and get more individuals involved. Also, as I had mentioned before, if anyone wants to fill in data on their previous season details, I can get you a spreadsheet that you can populate with things like title of submit, date of submit, category, etc. I would send you a spreadsheet of all of your submissions, you would fill in any missing details and I would then integrate your returned spreadsheet data into the main sheet . I had filled in all of my stuff, but after half an hour or so of going through everyone's stuff from S1-S6, I decided I did not want to spend my time on it. It is here that things like the "#tags" come in handy for Season and future collection of material, so I recommend that we continue to tag submissions for this and similar reasons (thanks to @Iron1 for introducing that tagging idea in Season 6 I believe) ;~)) I had recruited a few people from other forums for this season, but only one actually participated ;~(( Anyway, as usual, if you see any errors in the numbers, or can think of additional stats I can write formulas to display, speak up and I will try and work some spreadsheet magic to make it so ;~)) I hope that @Stone can give his certification of approval on this spreadsheet as we all know he is the King of the Sheet as well as a new participant here in Season 8 ;~))

I feel a little frustrated. After a long time of being completely uninspired, I finally managed to record an idea yesterday, and it actually turned out quite well. So I came back here full of pride to present my work and then realised that the current season just ended a few days ago. Damn.

But I just listened to what you posted here for the last season and I have to admit that I missed a lot of great music. There really is some fantatstic stuff in there!

Sorry to hear you missed the deadline! There will be next season!! Can't say for certain when it will start, but likely 6-8 weeks from now ;~)) You can still post in the Member Clips, Videos, and Projects section!
