It sounded really good in the online demos. You saying it’s a good is a positive sign. I’ll be trying one then.

I have the JMP module that’s the best preamp I’ve had in the Synergy line. Marshall is making some great preamps for Synergy it sounds like.

Synergy is making me wish Rocktron/ISP and Mesa would recapture their glory years and release rack preamps again. I played the hell out of the Rocktron Chameleon and Piranha, and the Mesa Triaxis.

Based on my experience with the Synergy/Tone King collab on the Tone King Imperial Preamp pedal, I'd probably buy a Mesa Boogie Preamp pedal in that format in a heartbeat.

(I've had both the Tone King Imperial Preamp pedal and the IR-X, and vastly prefer the TKIP format.)

Exactly. We need a Triaxis pedal with real tubes and IRs.

I think I narrowed it down to the killer Kali.

Anyone experience with both the Vai and killer Kali ?

I want something completely different from the Vai module and online the demos most modules have a very similar tone and overlap. In other words most i can also get from the Vai module.

I like the Vai but it has nowhere near the snarl of the KK.
In other words the KK can do Vai but the Vai can't do KK without help.
