I have a speaker cabinet/amp switcher but I always use the effects loop and climbing over/around the stacks is a little bit inconvenient.

Is there a better solution for switching amps, cabs AND effects loops? Or is a patch bay what I’m after?

A patch bay sure would be less expensive.

I don’t think that I explained my issue correctly.

I have 4 amps and one pedalboard. I want to be able to put the pedalboard into the effects loop of any one of the 4 amps without having to tear the stacks apart to get behind them.

KHE makes a switcher that also includes an effects loop.

And they also make an effects loop specific one

That looks exactly like what I would need but the price may be a little out of reach. Thanks.

Maybe I should look into a patch bay instead.

Still not cheap, but less than half the price of the excellent KHE units:

My amp switcher does FX loops, too; it’s DeLisle model so probably a variant of the one above. That’s one of the reasons I go it, it allows me to send the Syn2s to any of my heads power sections or the standalone power amps at will.

boss es5 to route to input of amps, and take in the send of the amps, efx also in a loop of es5

Then you have the preamp + fx signals that you need to route to returns.

Mixer with the option to output to 4 channels (auxes, subs, mains, pan)
2 aux would even do…aux 1, aux 2 , main L, main R…makes 4

The fun part is that you can route each preamp, to each powersection.
