Sunday Soundscapes (a series)

Happy Sunday. A few new ones for today. :knit

The first track is a bit more 80's inspired, pop-esque... a bit dreamy. Initially it was just going to be ambient but I felt it wanted bass and drums too so I worked those in as well. All synth tones are played with the Knifonium plug-in, drums are SD3, guitar is HX native.

Second track is a bit more ambient and stripped down. Piano tones are from NI Una Corda instrument, strings are NI Session strings 2, and NI Kinetic metal for the creaky sounds.

Thumbnails art for tracks I created in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Thank you! Glad it's sounding good on your end. :grin That can be the biggest challenge translating over to other systems.
Appreciate the listen Mike. :beer

Happy Sunday, and Easter.

I worked on 2 tracks yesterday, the acoustic one wasn't planned as it was just spontaneous.

I was going to add an acoustic to the other track, but as soon as I tuned up I started to test out levels and didn't realize I'd also engaged recording. Thankfully it was cued up behind the other track or it would have messed me up. Total happy accident. After I played it I was like, ok need to record that idea. I looked up and saw it already had. haha. So the left guitar is a 1 and only take improv. The right guitar is also 1 take added right after. Then I just played a droning string bed to add interest. Nothing perfect, a meandering and freeform piece with flaws and all. The guitar is strung in Nashville tuning so that made it a different kind of challenge, especially for the right side guitar.

Second track is more of the dreamy vibe like my others. I was going to add a melody lead and possibly tweak the arrangement but decided to just leave it as is for now.
