I fear breaking the hi e and g on my acoustic. I'm still scared of tuning them sometimes. Do you get goosebumps from tuning? I was nervous of tuning the hi e for sometime.

Can we add a bot emoji?

But I've heard this before regarding the dominant hand picking. Closely related to the fact that drummers cross hands in order to drive the hi-hat with their dominant hand.

The hihat comparison is absolutely valid.
Thing is, what happens in your picking hand better needs to be on auto-pilot (with the exception of dedicated picking exercises). The picking hand should automatically follow the fingering hand, the latter being the one you rather concentrate on while playing. And nothing is better suited to do an automated job than your strong hand.
Try to tap a medium to fast kinda syncopated rhythm with your right hand (such as continuous 16ths with every third 16th accented, maybe at 70 BPM). Your strong hand will easily be able to do so, it'll possibly even be able to continue doing so when you talk or watch the news or whatever. Now try the same with your weak hand.
I also think that hitting the strings with a very certain amount of power is a pretty delicate task, whereas the left hand can pretty much ignore all dynamics.
Etc.

As said, there might be exceptions from this, but usually your strong hand is better at picking.
