Speaker recommendations?

A friend gave me few empty cabs for free. I don't think they're anything super swish or anything, but they'll certainly be usable. I kind of want some darker more vintage or bluesy sounding speakers in one of them. But fuck if I know what to get.

Pretty sure the bottom is a Harley Benton 2x12, would've had V30's in it at some point. Top one is a vintage 1970's cab from what I gather. Both unloaded of course.

personally, id fill it with a quad of new fane f's. they all sound similar to my ears, but f25s or 30s are amazing speaks and have something celestions sdont!

A pretty cool gb style speaker is the fat jimmy c1265gb, definitely not as in your face as the celestion reissues. They've got a 25 watt one too but I have the 65. (these are undoped)

I don’t think creambacks are dark or necessarily bluesy either, but fuck I’ve been hard pressed to ever find someone who doesn’t like a cream back. They sound good for everything

I was being silly. Although, the amp can be dialed in dark for the EV. I don't like the comparison vids with the EV thrown in there. Never sounds as good because the amp was dialed in for something like a celestion. But, like you mentioned earlier, the cannabis rex is darker and smoother. I particular like the 10" version better though.
