Hello all.

Just wanted to drop a link to a site that I have used for neat hand made wooden cavity covers ...truss rod covers ...pickguards...and a real solid dude.

He is also a big Carvin and PRS guy ....

Has a neat selection to choose from. But he also does custom work. Very nice woods, finishing and colors.... seriously nice guy.

I found him trying to find replacement screws for one of my guitars...and he sent them to me for free ...so I purchased some items from him as a thank you. Was surprised that he was in Michigan, so I felt great about that too! Scores!!?

Anyway. If you have any guitar or bass item that is usually plastic or metal, or unappealing...bobs got your back.

I do not have any affiliation other than what I stated.

Here is the link. https://www.bobscustomplates.com/

That’s very cool. I always hated putting cheap plastic on a fine instrument.
Agree......I have a plain plastic one on my new HILS ...and it is my only true gripe about the guitar. I think I'm gonna have him do one for that matching the fretboard ....so rosewood.

The only issue with custom one offs like that....you gotta send the plate. But it is understandable, considering.

Bob is a very cool dude......also sells soap and the like with his daughter...if that's your thing.

Fired away an email asking him to join the forum....we will see. I told him @DrewJD82 is the boss....so maybe he will reach out to him.

I hope you got some soap from him, too.

We all need soap, after all.
Nope...but maybe in the future.....I have a gallon pump jug of Dr Bronners in my shower.....I think I have enough soap.....maybe.
