That’s crazy! That’s longer than it took my Chorus Ensemble to get here from Australia!
Other than the TC; it's all ready for pickup after workThat’s crazy! That’s longer than it took my Chorus Ensemble to get here from Australia!
TC Chorus is here![]()
Had 5 minutes with it. In the loop; sounds great. Once I get the Mk III home tomorrow; I'll give it a real good run through \m/First thoughts?
The NS-2 for cheap or the Zuul I’d say, both analogView attachment 50061
Power supply mounted. Sticking with the CS because it works on the PT and I want to keep moving forward. Putting wah up top works with the board angle and feels natural.
Guitar to Wah then down the line through mod and dirts to the MXR Chorus to amp input; TC and SDE in the loop. Open space is not ideal but I'm good for now. It is quieter than with the One Spot powering it but I'm still going to grab a noise gate.
I'm looking at the Zuul+. If it was on Amazon; it'd already be on the boardThe NS-2 for cheap or the Zuul I’d say, both analog![]()
The TC is great. I haven't tried it up front because the MXR scratched that itch but I bet it's great there as well \m/Finally plugged the TC in tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if I never touch the knobs on it, it's perfect right where they are. Kinda wanted to learn some Police songs right out of the gate. I've got it before the preamp and am now wondering if putting it in the loop all these years is what gave me the idea it sounds thin on distortion. I could see myself tossing this on some leads here and there to stand out a bit more instead of going just for the chorus sound.
All that's left for pedals on my list is the a flanger (it'll be the EVH or the PastFX Elastic Mistress) and delay, then it's utility stuff like the loop switcher, power supply and a patchbay.
There's definitely some charm to plugging in a bunch of pedals and seeing how they interact that you don't get to experience with modeling gear.

Was going to PM you. Where did you get your headshell? Did you order from Mesa directly? EO gave me some leads for my Mk III rehouse.I want it, as well as the Grind (and that new Meshuggah preamp pedal
)
I don’t have it (yet) I’m going to get it because it’s so cheap, it’s analog and it’s Boss. I’m not a djenter so I just want to control the noise and I don’t need anything fancy. If the NS-2 doesn’t do the job then at least it didn’t burn a huge hole in my wallet. I’ll post a NPD when I get it and share my thoughts@Mikael Dez did you have the NS-2? How was it at noise suppression? I don't need gating so much as that's what your picking hand is for, if you're not djenting it up.

I find with pedals; I still just set and generally forget once I find the sounds I like. Some small minor adjustments but really the same as I do on the Axe where I add the Japan CE-2 block I have saved and move on. Dedicated knobs on the real thing but same sort of procedure?
I have learned really quick that I probably won't ever be done with this particular sub-genre of guitar playing![]()
but I think a noise suppressor is my next stop on this train. I am trying really hard not to spend 2 bills on a Zuul+ but it's not easy going at the moment.
I just ordered one as well. Amazon strikes againI don’t have it (yet) I’m going to get it because it’s so cheap, it’s analog and it’s Boss. You can use it in 4 cable method with the fx loop as well, right?@JiveTurkey @Mikael Dez
I have the NS2 and it does the job. The key is using its fx loop so that it gates/suppresses using your guitar as the trigger. It’s the only gate pedal I’ve used so I can’t compare to others.
