Some pedals incoming

Typo, meant as a side note to MXR.
Gotcha. Agreed. But then you get into this side discussion about wanting to keep a pedal in single size form factor but expand the controls and blah blah blah. You could do it but I probably wouldn't buy one even if they did?

I find with some post effects that I do like the modeler space a bit better mainly because there seems to be more of a pristine clarity of them being post cab vs. where you get them on a real amp?

The built in verb on the V is actually really nice for generic reverb sounds. I was very surprised at how much I enjoy it.

Agreed on the post cab point for sure. It’s what real world reverb would sound like if you put the amp and cab in that space.

💯

Annnnnnnd flanger, phaser and TC chorus ordered. As well as a new pedal power supply. Should be here Wednesday. If I make it out alive without ordering another pedalboard that pleases me vs. this PT turd; I will be highly surprised :getmycoat

Which pedals and which power supply did you get?

EVH phaser and flanger, the TC SCF and the TruToneCS12. TruTone is not a sexy choice but I love the way they handle power distribution and it had the 2 18v taps I need for the MXR chorus and incoming flanger. Plus it's an IEC cable and not some external power supply. I circled all the bougie options as well as the Fender LVL12 but TruTone is old reliable ime.

Nice choices!

Sometimes old reliable is the best way to go. I still use a Walrus Aetos because they’re cheap, they use an IEC, and they’ve got an outlet I can chain another power supply onto

I looked at the Walrus and Ciocks options but stuck with what I know. The Ciocks stuff is especially annoying with the "let's spend $350 and not be able to tell from the Aamzon add if it's an actual power supply or some sort of link box that needs another $350 box to work". I am exaggerating, of course; but not by much

Cioks is annoying. They have the most confusing product line with way too many options, and they totally railroad you into needing to buy two things instead of one.

The Ciocks is highly regarded but I just am not going that route. I did start re-thinking (shocker!) late yesterday about doubling back to the Walrus or the Fender. Only because the TruTone is very chunky and I don't want to end up with a pedaltrain if I can help it. Which means lower to the ground board with smaller pedal power opening that the TruTone won't fit in. I am going to get the pedals in hand and loosely arranged by this weekend and see what I think.

How many pedals did you end up with? The CS6 might work as you can generally get away with daisy chaining the analog pedals without extra noise.

That’s a good point, it will somewhat limit your pedalboard options. You don’t like ones with steep angles do you?

Maverick Wah...EVH Phaser...SD-1...RAT clone...MXR Micro Amp 2...MXR Stereo Chorus
TC SCF Chorus...EVH Flanger...Boss SDE-3

Probably will grab a noise gate if needed down the road? Biggest hiccup is the 18v requirements on the flanger and chorus. The Walrus, Fender and TruTone can do that. The CS6 doesn't have 18v taps unfortunately.

The CS6 does have a couple of switchable 18v and 12v jacks:

Still waiting for all this stuff because UPS is a turd pile. :poop: Should have my C90 today and the EVH stuff but TC chorus will be a Monday thing.

Man, my TCFis taking FOREVER getting here. I misread the estimated date and thought it was this past Monday but it’s actually next week. I think UPS is just having individual drivers pick shit up from one state to another or something. Hard to comprehend why it takes that long when USPS can get shit to you from the same general region in 2 days.

I got mine from Alto as well. The other bundle from Amazon required a "security clearance" and I had to have it dropped off at a Staples. I get it but I am impatient :hmm:rofl

WTF?!?

And yeah, I’m just being impatient, I don’t need the chorus for anything right now and it won’t get used a ton anyway, but I want it now!!! :ROFLMAO:

My biggest thing beyond chorus is I want to retain my desired pedal order and have a buffer BEFOR the MXR flanger and not have to wait till god forbid MONDAY!!! :hmm :rofl
