You'll also need to measure the voltage at the end of your reamp chain to take any level changes from the reamp box into account, or run the reamp signal into your DI inputs (which you know the headroom of) and work it out that way.

Added profiles for another 10 more knob permutations for a total of 40 additional profiles (DI & SM57 using both the STD and xSTD architectures).
That’s a lot of spaceship noises to endure.

I briefly tried some captures and they sound great.

Are you using your version of the TTS input for the DI and full rig training? Have you compared your full rig captures to your DI captures + your IRs? I might’ve missed the SM57 captures when I was browsing.

All hail ear-plugs!! I won't lie, I hope I don't have to blast that signal again for a good while lol.

Yes, I used a re-arranged version of the TTS input. I essentially route the training sequence to the amp & then I take 2 signals coming from it:

- 1 x DI balanced output from the ST.Rock React:IR II (with the cab in the Through port) going into my RME Mic IN1 input
- 1 x SM57 mic going into my RME Mic IN2 input

I didn't spend too much time comparing my own full-rig with DI + IR of my own making simply because I haven't been paying too much attention to shooting IRs since so many good ones are available out there. The ones I shot & posted on Tone3000 were a one-off thing since I had access to a properly treated room in a studio we were rehearsing at a while ago with one of the bands I was playing with.

I mostly use DI profiles + IRs from a few vendors like York Audio, @MirrorProfiles and some ML Sound Labs as well as the NDSP cabs in their plugins.

No, thank you! I occasionally post my 3D models to sites like Printables, so I understand the feeling that comes with posting your work publicly then seeing people use it. That said, I have nowhere near 100k downloads, so you're operating at a completely different level. It's super cool (and generous of you) to have opened your work to so many people.
 
Finished with the Friedman BE100 Deluxe pack today.. took a lot more than what I thought initially but it turned out great!

AMP, POW, and PRE profiles capture maximum flexibility and accuracy using a high-quality signal chain.

AMP and POW profiles use a real Mesa 4x12 Oversized Straight cabinet for the most faithful experience.

This full pack covers all 3 channels (Clean, BE, & HBE) and includes:

271 x AMP profiles (DI, SM57, SM58 & SM58/SM57 blend)
150 x PRE profiles
54 x POW profiles (DI, SM57, SM58 & SM58/SM57 blend)

Total: 1,450 individual NAM files.

... but all profiles are trained twice in STD and xSTD architectures, resulting in 2,900 individual NAM files with xSTD accounted for.

Holy moly that’s a lot of captures, nice work! I thought it was a PITA just doing a small pack of caps.
 
Time to revisit a classic.

This time loading it down with my Mesa 4x12 OS Straight cab (the pack I did 1 year ago used the St.Rock React:IR2) and doing some full-rig reamps as well in parallel / addition to DI.

Got a 55" Fredman clip too - does a killer job.

 
Moved the amp head off the cab so vibrations won't mess up the tubes during reamping.

Also padded the hell out of the cab so the mics pick up as little "noise" as possible.

I plan on revisiting a few amps (Badlander, Ceriatone King Kong, Ceriatone Chupacabra, Ceriatone Molecular) and give them a proper makeover:

These packs will be available on the Ko-Fi shop for a modest fee; the Mesa Badlander's up first.

For the revisited amps, I'm planning on doing about 10 profiles for each reamp:

1. DI
2. SM57 center of the speaker (Fredman clip)
3. SM57 off-axis (Fredman clip)
4. SM58
5. Fredman Blend #1 (both SM57, no volume tweaks)
6. Fredman Blend #2 (boosted off-axis by 2 dB)
7. Blend #1 (SM57 on-axis with SM58)
8. Blend #2 (SM57 off-axis with SM58)
9. Blend #3 (Fredman #1 with SM58)
10. Blend #4 (Fredman #2 with SM58)
