Yep! They retain heat extremely well, especially wrapped in tin foil. I think the walk was closer to 3 miles, but they’d still be hot when we got there. I’m curious if kids up there still do that, the area is very traditional, it feels like you’re stepping back in time 50 years, like they just stopped modernizing things in the early 70’s, mostly because they did. But our parents did the hot potato thing, their parents did it, so on and so forth. I think Maine is just behind Idaho in potato farms, it probably got that way just from kids going to school.
