I’m back on the partscaster train. I’ll document some of the fun as it happens. Here’s what I’m working with!
MJT VTM telemaster body. I scored this yesterday off their eBay store for $250. It’s alder and a little chunky at 4lb 12oz but offset bodies are heavy and I couldn’t pass up the color at that price all ready-made.
This is a WD AAA Maple neck that Chris Kroenlein finished in his amazing vintage satin nitro. He even rolled the fretboard edges while he had it. Full on baseball bat profile on this bad boy.
I think it’s gonna made a killer offset tele once it’s all done. I have a mint guard on the way.
Then I have this Bloom Doom (Wildwood) Strat body I snagged last year. It’s a little under 4lbs and made of alder.
This one is getting paired with this WD Music AAA Maple neck given the same treatment as the tele neck. Also a baseball bat profile. The flame is far more subtle on this one.
So I’m thinking they both get Mint guards, nickel hardware, and shall be known as THE TWINS!
