Single stage Suhr Eclipse...

I had a Suhr Eclipse back in the day and it was glorious. It was destroyed in a flood, and now that I am back to full analog/tube gear, I'd love to find a peddle that does that 1st stage as well as that pedal. The pedal is $300, and I don't need a higher gain OD/Dist.

The quality that was great was that it gave that sizzle for a little hotter than clean blues, but without the honk. It's hard to describe. I found many OD/Dist pedals have this unsavory honk about them that I hate.

I'm kind liking the sound of the Keeley Blues Disorder. Any thoughts? Does anyone have any feedback/advice. Thanks!

Running a Strat with slightly hotter pickups and the clean on the Mark V:25 head through a slanted closed back 1x12 Rectifier cab. The clean is heavenly and sparkly. And I'm getting a mini spark boost pedal, but still want that little bit of extra sizzle. Thanks again!

@Karl Houseknecht. Yeah I can read.
However, the Suhr seems to do what he wants and it's a pretty unique circuit.
If we were talking about something that's thousands of dollars then yeah.... but 300 is not a crazy amount of money. Maybe buy it used to save a bit.
But IMHO, buying what you really want is always the best bet.
Buy nice or buy twice.

The Eclipse is killer. I just got one this year, and I've been really impressed with it. Got the candy apple red one.

Fwiw, I have a Suhr Shiba Reloaded that is a great OD pedal.

I recently went down the Suhr pedal rabbit-hole. The Eclipse is probably the best distortion pedal I ever used. The ability to set two different gain levels is really useful to me. Maybe the Riot is close? I don't have that one and don't need it.
