I genuinely don't think I'm confident enough to play a V in front real people. It looks cool though.

The auto translate from kurosawa gakki is as hilarious as usual.

Limited production model E-FV-VINTAGE made in an all-racker finish based on EDWARDS E-FV-LTD has arrived.

The mahogany body has a mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard material with an ultra-thin all-racker coating to make the sound a model for open sound with low cloudiness.
⁇ The ultra-thin lacquer with a wide-eyed paint is a ultra-thin finish that causes paint cracks due to scratches and cold differences due to playing.

The neck has a thin shape and the lightweight weight has a good Japanese sense of size.

The parts are made in Japan with precision and reliability, and the pickup is equipped with Seymour Duncan SH-55n,SH-55b.
The SH-55 is a pickup created in collaboration with the designer Seth Rubber of the popular name "P.A.F" that was installed in the vintage, and is similar to the original 1955 P.A.F, with a nickel silver plate, plain enamel wire. , Arnico 2 magnet, wooden spacer and single conductor cable. It has a smooth low end and a sweet high end on the warm, and is a pickup with a clean overtone configuration.

How did I not know this even existed? WTF?
:facepalm

I am sending myself to my room right now.
:hmm
:horse

I bought an Edwards V last Summer. Definite Mid-Life Crisis content. :guiness:clint

I am in the process of putting chrome/nickel covered 'Buckers in and Chrome PU Rings.

It's light and super fun to play standing up. Sitting down not so much. I also had my
friend's 6 year old daughter tell me I look ridiculous with it. I am pretty sure he told
her to say that, though. I think.

I've never even seen a V in person. I'm going to have to remedy that. I need to know if I could deal with one and then start putting cash aside.

It’s taken me a LONG time to come around to them, but it was specifically the Edwards that got me thinkin’ I could see myself with one. I think it’d be fun as fuck to rock out with live.

I wish Edwards made with white one with an ebony board, but it’s not like the black one is any kind of slouch in the looks department.

That'll turn up on kurosawa as a limited edition at some point. I go there once or twice a week now because they keep getting cool Edwards and tokai custom orders in.

I had a white Ibanez flying V that was pretty bad ass, in high school. I thought it made me look like Randy Rhoads. :grin

There's a cool used custom shop one near me right now. But I’ve learned with Gibsons, anything else I try, whether it's a V, SG, 335, etc, I just want to go back to my Les Pauls.

Damn, I just spotted a white Tokai V in the local classifieds for 800 bucks, just 10 km away from me. I'm seriously tempted... although it's actually nonsense as I play seated 99% of the time. But it looks so pretty.

Is that a Japanese or a Chinese model? It looks like it has the bridge they fit to the Chinese ones. €800 euro would be a lot more than I'd pay for a Chinese tokai.

Yeah, my excitement was perhaps a little hasty and the deal isn't as good as I first thought. But as I said, it would actually be nonsense for me to buy a V, as I mostly play seated and there's hardly anything more impractical for that than the shape of a Flying V.

I thought it was a great deal at first glance too. It was only when I was zooming in I noticed the bridge.

I still want a go on a V just to see what they're like but don't know anyone whose got one.

What do you see that identifies this as a Chinese bridge?
I’m not doubting you whatsoever.
I would like to know for future reference.

The slotted bridge post is a dead giveaway for a Chinese or Korean import bridge.

The American and Japanese guitars usually just sit on the post like this pic.

This looks gorgeous and must sound lovely too.

How heavy would it be compared to an average strat model? The wood seems thick.

Really? This concerns me.

I had a Gibson Faded V from around 2005-6 that a friend talked me out of,
and I did the Schenker V from Dean.... but that thing was a weapon on stage
with the ginormous headstock. It's nuts how long that guitar is. Also, bolt-on
neck and not the best quality. I hunted for a USA Made Schenker Dean but
never found one at a good price---and then the lawsuit happens and Dean
stopped making them altogether.

After discovering how great they are, after my first Edwards, I set my sights on
an Edwards V. They make a flip-flop/Schenker-esque version, but when I saw
the Antique White I was smitten. It's a great fucking guitar. Immediate reactions
are how light it is and how great the upper fret access is. Also, a bit honky and
mid-forward compared to something like an LP. Cue the "cuts in a mix" comment. :idk

We have some gigs coming up here this Summer and it will go with me, because
even if I look ridiculous with it, I feel super cool on the inside. And I am more than
ok with that discrepancy. :beer

Also, Albert King. Albert MotherF'ing King! That's what that V you posted a pic
of brings to mind. :chef
