Part of my perma-ban from TGP ten years ago involved an epic John Mayer rant.

I am so not going there again. I get literally ZERO value from the guy's playing,
his person, his songs, or anything else he has an hand in. So much so that I can't
even get riled up anymore about the most tepid and tender-hearted man alive.

Funny enough, I like the Silver Sky/SS SE. I think it's a solid guitar. That's about the only value I get out of him.

Tonex's ODS pack was done with Bonamassa's amps, wasn't it? I guess there was some input from him, don't why his name wasn't in it in the end.

Yeah, that was supposed to be a sig pack like Satch’s amp vault, but Joe heard them and wasn’t impressed in the end, he made a huge rant on his IG about them and basically removed himself from the whole deal.

I guess for me it's that those who are known to be avid tube players are finding something to like in digital these days.

I love the Gojira plugin because I really like Gojira but also know they are big fans of tube amps. I trust their ear

I'm not necessarily a fan of Mayer but I know he is well versed in gear so it is a point again for Neural that he may be affiliated with them.

It's just like Fractal with Metallica and Def Leppard to name just a couple. Will it be the sole reason I buy something, no. However, it is pretty cool to see bigger named artists or those who advocate for tubes using digital gear.

Now, it could all just be a way to make $$$$ but I'm going to look optimistically on this

Is JB even known for using amp plugins or modeling gear? Not that he couldn't but it's not something I've heard him talk about.

It’s probably because I don’t remotely like that kind of music. To me it’s the sonic equivalent to a Members Only jacket and a pair of New Balance shoes. His diet SRV licks at the end don’t help.

I’ll say that as someone who doesn’t mind the Tyler headstock.
The 3+3 on the Silver Sky as well their wannabe Tele I can’t get with.

I can understand that sentiment, it ain’t for everyone. But the overall instrument (in both examples) overrides that for me.
