I can’t think of anything I’ve heard him play that couldn’t have been him using a HotRod Deluxe.
And I hate that amp for no logical reason other than it should be the photograph in the dictionary fo illustrate the definition of ‘generic’.

Not trying to dump on JM, he’s a talented player and songwriter. I’m not buying any of his work because it doesn’t move me, ever, but I can recognize talent.
However, I don’t recognize why he needs a plug in because he always sounds the same and never sounds like the gear had any kind of signature to it. Well, I recognize why he might want one, for the fee… But will this really sell? How many MILF’s actually buy gear?

We usually tend to not see the details when you look things from afar. What you're saying is no different than what I've heard a million times from blues players saying every metal band sounds the same.

When I’m not listening to him I have this same thought, and then I’ll actually listen to some bit of a tune and think, damn he’s making that Hot Rod Deluxe sound great.

Tonex's ODS pack was done with Bonamassa's amps, wasn't it? I guess there was some input from him, don't why his name wasn't in it in the end.

Apparently he didn't like how the captures turned out. At least that's what I seem to remember.

A. It would be illogical for me to spend money on a concert ticket for someone I've listened to a ton of their music on Apple Music, and don't care for at all.

Part of my perma-ban from TGP ten years ago involved an epic John Mayer rant.

I am so not going there again. I get literally ZERO value from the guy's playing,
his person, his songs, or anything else he has an hand in. So much so that I can't
even get riled up anymore about the most tepid and tender-hearted man alive.
