I think this is some form of ring modulation, and the piano solo that follows being inspired by that tonality is so great.

Almost everything from the Emmet's Place series is fantastic, but this one was pretty special. This Hekselman dude is now plugged into my algorithm from watching it so a lot is popping up and I really dig his playing.
