Looking fantastic, IMO. I actually really dig the more subdued finishes they've gone with this year. The Sensei 290 is hot!

senseis are awesome guitars. they are already sexy but they look even better once you remove the pickguard.

these colors this year arent really for me but i still love the brand overall.

a used white sensei with p90s popped up locally that i have been trying not to look at

I think I’m in it for the Sensei HH and a Roundhouse 290. I love Reverends, but they discontinued the Sensei HH briefly, which is what I really wanted.

Yeah, I got the email earlier, and the new finishes are a HUGE improvement over some of the godawful bursts they used over the last few years.

It also appears that they abandoned the experimental “through body” holes and went more traditional on the semihollows.

That’s a stunner!

It's pretty cool. I posted it on Reddit and the guy who sold it to the guy who sold to the shop I bought it off recognised it.

Not many of these had a black headstock. Most have a natural wood one.

This one also has a roller bridge where the guy was thinking about adding a Bigsby after but never did.

Said the original, TOM bridge should be in the bag. But I didn't get no bag.

Still, was fun to hear its history.

The guy said if I ever sell it to tell him 'cause he regretted it. But I'm keeping it.

I’m digging the new semihollows. Not sure how much I like the new body shape though, but I’m biased because I have one of the early Reverend Slingshots so my attachment is strong.

ok im sorry lol, i said this years line didnt have anything that caught my eye and now im about to buy this

i dont have a guitar w p90s or a single pickup guitar or a red guitar so this checks all those boxes and i still love my sensei ra a ton

What’s the quality of Reverend guitars like these days?

It's pretty amazing. Everyone I've let play mine has been impressed. Couple other bands we've played with have had them too. Good fretwork, intonation is spot on and stays stable, comfy neck. Solid features too: locking tuners, good pickups/hardware/electronics.

Played lots of shows with it, lots of hours at rehearsal - it's been very dependable and is fun to play.

Yup. Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal, but I’ve seen MANY come through our shop for setups, played many at SW and also at CME. Never seen a bad one. Not to say they aren’t out there, but imo they’re remarkably consistent.

Only reason my buddy won’t carry them is because he thinks they’re hideous. 🤣

I have my eye on a certain Jetstream 390, but I should be more divestment and less acquisition at this time.

Yes they are very consistent and value for money. Not quite the bargain they once were. My only complaint apart from that appearance ( personal taste) is the finish is a little plasticy and thick. Frets are a little soft and sometimes overly bevelled but that’s true of most instruments at this price. Solid though.

Very disappointed to see these are now Indonesian. Not that I have a problem with Indonesian guitars, but the prices went up, when the labor presumably went down.
